Marriage and motherhood to work and widowhood, women face so many challenges in the modern world. Trying to balance home and work, along with church and activities, can leave so many women feeling exhausted and like they are never enough.
We want to help women navigate these complexities with Jesus and relationships.
That’s why at First Baptist Church Paducah we are committed to connecting women to Jesus through the Word and to one another through fellowship. Each activity in our ministry is deeply rooted in our desire to see women come to faith in Christ as their personal Savior and Lord, grow and mature spiritually, and find joy and strength in fellowship with other believers.
We believe that meaningful relationships form within the ministry and the church at large as women connect to God and each other through Bible studies and fellowship events that grow our faith and encourage us to walk in obedience. We believe that families are changed as women draw closer to the Lord - marriages are saved, children are covered in prayer, and God’s power is demonstrated as women come together seeking counsel from the Word and support from one another. We believe that women receive help to fight spiritual battles by linking arms with other godly women. Women need women who point them to Christ!
God has blessed us with this vibrant ministry for over 25 years. We love meeting new women and helping them connect to Christ and new Christian friends! If you’re looking for that connection, we love to see you here!
Here are some specific ways we engage with women at FBCP:
- Bible Studies and book studies: Each fall and spring women from around Paducah gather to study and fellowship together.
- Discipleship: Personal discipleship helps grow women into fully devoted followers of Jesus.
- Events: Throughout the year women gather together for special events which give another opportunity to build relationships. Also, every other year we host the Spring Fling Conference in order to hear exceptional Bible teaching and to fellowship with one another.
