Before believers were called Christians, the book of Acts tells us that believers were first called The Way (Acts 9:2). At The Way, we desire for our students to take hold of this ancient title for Christians and to wear it boldly in the current world, so that we may point people to Jesus, who called himself The Way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6). 

The ultimate reason we gather is to worship Christ and to study God’s Word. We unapologetically center all things on Scripture. Students are bombarded with all sorts of conflicting worldviews, and they need an anchor in the midst of the rising tide of secularism. The Way provides that for them. 

 

Every Wednesday night, students start arriving between 5-6pm to hang out. Upon arrival students will be given the opportunity to grab a drink and snack from our soda bar,play in our game room or gym, catch up on some homework in the lounge, or just have time to relax with their friends. We believe it is critical for students to build relationships with other believers and with adults who will invest in their lives. 

 

Starting at 6:30pm we gather for worship and teaching. Our teaching focuses on taking the ancient truths of the Bible and applying them to the world in which our students live. We want the Bible to come alive for them, as they draw closer to Jesus and he changes their lives. To this end, we give students a time to respond to the Word of God as we close our worship service with a final song.
