Pastor Brian began at FBC Paducah in June 2023. Before this, he served for eight years at Phoenix Seminary, where he taught Theology and Church History, and he spent the last four years as President. Brian moved to Phoenix from Livingston County, Kentucky, where he had been the Pastor of Smithland First Baptist Church.

A native of Mason, Ohio, Brian went to vocational school and graduated as a firefighter/EMT. From there he went to Eastern Kentucky University where he studied Emergency Medical Care with a concentration in Fire Science. For ten years, he worked as a paramedic while he went to seminary. Brian is a three-time graduate of The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, with an M.Div. (Christian Ministry), a Th.M. (New Testament), and a Ph.D. (Church History). He is the author of two books, Justification in the Second Century and Cyprian of Carthage: His Life and Impact, as well as numerous articles.

Brian is married to Lauren and they have two children, Jameson and Natalie.
